It was like any other day....chaos in the morning trying to get kids dressed, fed and off to school. This day was a little more crazy since I had to be out of the house by 8:30 with the house in tact for a showing later than day and Brooklyn dropped off at the sitters. Today was Chase's pediatric Cardiology appointment that we'd been anticipating for a month.

I had no idea that it would be the 1st day of the rest of my life.

At Chase's 1 year well check, he was a little sick. Everything checked out great, but his pediatrician said she thought she may have heard a murmur in his heart. He was also showing signs of developmental delay so she urged me to schedule 2 appts...pediatric cardiology and an early intervention evaluation. I didn't know yet that these 2 appts would relate to each other.

In the month leading to the cardiology appointment, I thought about the possible murmur from time to time but was reassured when I remembered that his doctor said that 90% of murmurs are no big deal.

It was May 17, 2011 and I took Chase into his pediatrician because he'd had a high fever for a few days. This time we saw a different doctor. He checked him out from head to toe and said it looked like he had the coxsakie virus. Before we left, I told him about the other doc hearing a murmur and asked if he would take a listen to see if he could hear it too. He could. He said it sounded a little different than a typical murmur. He was glad I had already had the appointment for the cardiologist scheduled. It would still be 1 1/2 weeks until that appointment though. On my way home from the doctor, I received a call from the ped card office saying that an early appointment had opened up the following day...so I jumped on it.

The next morning (May 18) we arrived 20 min late to the appointment due to traffic. I hate being late, but I was happy they were still willing to see us. The nurse took Chase's usual vitals.. temperature, blood pressure, etc. He still had a low grade fever from the virus. Then, the nurse took the EKG. We were moved to a different room to meet the doctor. Her name was Dr. Zappalla. She walked in, glanced at Chase, and said..."wow, he looks healthy! I'm sure he's fine. He doesn't look like the typical heart patient we see. Check out those chubby thighs!" I felt reassured. As I held Chase in my lap she listened to his heart with her stethoscope and said, "hmmm, I can't hear it. Let's lay him on the table." After laying him down and listening, she finally heard it. She still thought it was an innocent murmur but decided to order an echo cardiogram just to be safe.

Chase was so calm during the echo. I remember commenting several times just how unusual it was for him to be so still. I took several pictures of him with my phone while he laid there so still.
We were moved back to our room and told to wait for the doctor. Chase and I waited for about 15 minutes. These 15 min were nothing but pure joy for me. He was being so cute. I thought to myself over and over again how cute he was and how much I was enjoying spending alone time with him. In fact, my sister Shanda called and I recall telling her just how much I loved him...at that very moment. I told her how he was at such a fun age and how I wanted to freeze time. Then, my sister Stacy clicked in. I shared with her my same feelings about Chase. I was overwhelmed with love for him and just adored every ounce of him. As I was talking to my sister, Dr. Zappalla walked in.

I had no idea that in that instant, my life would never be the same.

"Okay Mrs. Gregerson, I was not expecting that." My heart stopped. "Your son has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy."

Huh? What's that? How do we fix it?

"You need to get him over to Dupont Children's Hospital and have him admitted right away to start medication. He is at risk for sudden death without it...I'm so sorry."

Chase looked up with me and grinned and my eyes welled up with tears. Dr. Zappalla proceeded to explain to me that he had a thick heart...in all of her medical terminology...blah blah blah. I nodded as she tried to explain it to me but all I could think about was...would he be okay? Could he still live a normal life? I couldn't ask her. I was too afraid. The Dr. then informed me that it was commonly passed down genetically and that Jeff and I and the rest of our kids would have to be tested. It was too much to process. I didn't know what to say. She stepped out to call the hospital to let them know we were coming.

I picked up the phone and called Jeff. I told him his diagnosis and I could hear the worry in his voice. "Have you heard of this condition? Will he be okay?" He sighed in disbelief and then went on to explain to me what he knew about the condition. He explained that he would need to be on medicine for the rest of his life and that we would not be allowed to be active in sports, etc. Tears started to flow harder as I pictured him being Ethan's age and imagining having that conversation with him explaining that he couldn't play sports. How do you explain this to a boy? Then my mind immediately jumped ahead to the age of 19. Would he be able to serve a mission? If his kids have a 50% chance of inheriting it from him, who would marry him? I couldn't stop the tears.

The Dr. apologized again, handed me information about his diagnosis, and sent us on our way. Tears continued to flow as I left the office, went down the elevator, and walked out of the building. I passed several people on my way out..and watched them in conversation carrying on with their life and remember feeling numb inside...like my world had frozen in time. I called my mom as soon as I entered the parking lot and started to ball as I began to explain what I had just learned. We cried together. Neither of us understood why this was happening. I had so many questions.

Jeff came home from work. I put Chase down for a nap as I began packing for the hospital. I immediately went online to start researching his condition. I felt sad for Chase but encouraged as I read that most people with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) live long and fulfilling lives. They just have to watch their activity. I told Jeff, "Chase will find other things he enjoys. He might be musical, artistic..or even take up golf."

After making arrangements for my other kids, we headed to Dupont Children's Hospital in Wilmington, DE. Neither of us had ever been there. The Dr. that diagnosed Chase wanted us to go there since she had privileges there and wanted to follow up with us the next morning. We entered the cardiology floor and as we approached the nurse's station, all of the eyes turned towards us. One nurse said, "are you Chase?" How did she know? It was after 2pm, were we the only one's to have an admission that day?

The nurse practitioner introduced herself and then the pediatric cardiologist walked over to us. Jeff started firing questions at him. He asked how severe Chase's case was. The cardiologist said he hadn't looked at Chase's numbers yet but that he knew it was very uncommon for this condition to be diagnosed at such a young age. The nurse practitioner pulled up his numbers on her computer screen to show the cardiologist. I could read her face as she turned the screen for his view. My heart began to beat rapidly. Dr. Tsuda (ped cardiologist) looked at the numbers and his eyes immediately got big. "Well, his case is very severe." I wanted to pass out. What did that mean? I realized I was in over my head. The motherly control freak in me wanted to grab Chase and run...far away...and never let go. I didn't want to hear anymore.

I realized at that moment that the fact that he would not be able to be active was the least of my worries. Questions flooded my mind. Why wasn't this detected before? Can he get better? What about a heart transplant? What does severe mean? Why is this happening to me? To him? He looks fine. He looks perfect. I'm so confused. My heart is breaking.

They checked us into our room and started hooking him up to monitors. I couldn't help but notice that the staff around us seemed happy everywhere else but in our room. They were all somber and kept apologizing to us as they introduced themselves. Why were they apologizing? Chase will be fine, right? What are they not telling me?

Then, Jeff finally asked the question that was weighing on both of our minds. What is the prognosis? The nurse practitioner very delicately explained to us that the prognosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is split into thirds. "1/3 of them (mild cases) go on to live fairly normal lives with mediation and reduced activity..(chase did not fall into this category). 1/3 become eligible for heart transplants, and 1/3 of them we don't speak about."

My heart officially crushed into pieces. The fact that we were even having that conversation was too much to bear. I burst into an all out sob and just cried in disbelief.

Our best case scenario at that moment was that Chase would need a heart transplant. How could this be? When I woke up this morning...today was a normal day. He looks the exact same as he did 3 hours ago. Are they sure they didn't mix up his echo cardiogram with someone else's? It was all happening too fast

Jeff and I held each other as we began the process of coming to grips with our new normal. The nurses began the medication immediately. He started Propranalol (beta blocker) which will help slow down his heart rate and reduce his blood pressure. My baby was only 13 months old and would now need blood pressure medication to stay alive.

Over the course of the next few days, we learned a lot about Chase's condition. Chase has hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. Click here for info about cardiomyopathy from the CMF foundation. It describes all forms and types of the condition. The thickness surrounding his left ventricle is 13-15 mm. He is at a very high risk of arrhythmia which could cause sudden death at any time. It is a difficult murmur to hear...so the fact that his pediatrician heard it in the 1st place was a miracle. This condition is very rare in babies. Only 5 out of a million are diagnosed. We would then learn that his case is one of the more severe ever seen. There have only been 2 cases seen by the cardiologist treating him at the hospital since he began practicing. His condition is very rare...so there is little research and little that can be done.

The feeling of hopelessness is overwhelming. I would do ANYTHING to trade places with him. I wanted to rip his chest open and trade hearts with him. I had no control over the situation..and it was killing me.

We would also learn that his case will not improve...but only get worse over time. The medicine will help reduce his risk of arrhythmia's or cardiac failure. The next goal is that he will live to be age 2 or 3 so the doctors can implant an internal defibrillator. His little body is too small to implant one now. The risks of the surgery outweigh the benefits. Oh, how I pray with all my might that he can get this internal defibrillator. It would bring me so much peace of mind. Other than the constant medication administered every 6 hours..day and night, external defibrillator is our only other defense right now.

We would learn that his excessive fussiness as a young infant were most likely due to chest pain. For months, we treated him with reflux medicine and were then told that it was probably just "colic." There really was no way of knowing. The only thing that would lead us to a cardiac specialist was to hear a murmur. His developmental delay is most likely due to being weak because his heart was overworking. I was heartbroken when I learned that he had not yet known a life without pain. I had no idea.

Our few days spent in the hospital felt like weeks. They wanted to monitor him to make sure his blood pressure and heart rate didn't slow down too much. Chase hated being there. He was in the hospital for a whole week only 2 months ago for RSV. He didn't seem to mind it then. This time was different. He had a very difficult time sleeping, eating, and adjusting. Some of the side effects of the medicine include dizziness and feeling weak. He could barely sit up on his own in the hospital crib after the 1st 8 hours of treatment.

Mine and Jeff's emotions have been all over the charts. We've cried more tears in the last few days than we've cried in a lifetime. We are beginning to accept that Chase has this condition and now looking forward to the future with faith. This experience was always the scenario that I couldn't spend much time thinking about. When hearing about other's trials (friends or acquaintances) regarding the health of well being of their children, I would cry as I tried to imagine being in their shoes. I just couldn't fathom it. I always felt like Heavenly Father would spare me from having to go through such a trial because surely He must know I am not strong enough. Now that I am "that person" What do I have to learn from this? In the beginning, it was hard to see the blessings that could come from such a devastating blow.

So far, there are endless blessings. Now, more than ever, we are relying on the Savior to carry us through this. Our perspective on life has completely changed. We've always known that family was most important next to the gospel, but now we realize that nothing else really matters. We are approaching one of the biggest transitions in our married lives in 5 weeks when we move our family across the country to Austin, TX. It would have been so easy to get caught up in all of the unimportant things...like granite color, tile vs hardwood, etc. Now, all that matters is our 4 beautiful children. Heavenly Father has a plan for Chase and for our family. Chase is a special and choice son of God. He was placed into our family for a reason and no matter how long or how short he stays with us here on earth, I am forever changed because of him.

I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus are aware of me and my family right now. I can feel my Savior's love around me. Heavenly Father gave His only begotten son so that we could live with him. I can't imagine how hard that must have been knowing that He actually did have the power to stop His son from suffering but knew that Jesus' sacrifice was necessary in order for us to return to Him. I have a greater appreciation for my temple marriage than ever. It brings me peace knowing that no matter what happens, I can live with my family for eternity.

This knowledge doesn't mean this journey will be easy...in fact, I still want to remain in denial that any of it happened to begin with. Life looks different these days...and it will for a while. We have a long road ahead of us. The most important thing...Chase is still with us. He looks great. Even though his heart is sick, I am so glad we caught it before it was too late.

This knowledge is helping me to cope...to pick up the shattered pieces of my heart.

Here is part two of my trip to the Outer Banks NC with Mema and Papa, Jeff and Janell Gregerson, and the Brad and Anastasha Mead. We had a bast while out there. I had never vacationed in the East coast. It was so different but way fun. We all piled into this huge house that was 100 ft from the beach. As you can see we did a lot. Went on walks, bikerids, golf, Games, Played in the pool, ate good food, naped, and much more. I just want every one to know that went. Thanks for having us come it was a blast and I will never forget that trip.

I am so glad to say that our pretty lady AUROA is great. She has cheated death. I know she used up all of her 9 lives so she needs to be carefully now. I am glad to report Ryan and I are doing really good. He has been really busy with a bunch of jobs that he has had lately. He has been working on a number of restaurant down in Provo that are opening up soon. We have been blessed with his work. I am also glad to say that I have been just as happy as ever. I am working as a swim coach for the city of Lehi and loving it. Also I am getting a lot of makeup jobs every now and then. They are all independent moves. No paying gigs yet but I am sure they will come. Thanks so much for those of you that keep us and Aurora in your prays. She brings us so much joy. Love and Miss all of you

It breaks my heart but I am so sad to say that Aurora our little kitty is very very sick. On Friday we took her to the hostpital she is in Diabetic shock. She has been in in the ICU sence Friday. If any or all of you would please pray for her that would help. Ryan and I have found so much happeness with her in our family. We love her as our daughter. SO my trip to ABQ was a blast. When I got there all I could think about was how cute these girls are. Mea is so cute and so small I was afraid I was going to break her. The girls just love her to pieces. They wanted to take turns holding her all day. But I tell ya Megan and Zoe are busy body's. I loved being there to play with them. As soon as I few in we started the girl time. I took the girls out to get there nails done. They just loved it. I was not sure how they would do in a nail salon but they just sat there so patiently. Evey morning while I was there we also went on walks. The girls looked forward to that every morning. It makes me sad that I don't get to do that with them every day :( Then we also got to go to the movies and see the tooth fairy. I think they liked it but Meg got a little restless. Then when night time came we would have story time. We even made a fort out of the bunk bed. Those girls are all so cute. I loved that I got to go a spend time with the Greenhalgh Family. I love and miss all of you.

Valentines 2010

This year for valentines day I wanted to try and fill my time. I am currently trying to find a full time job. I have not had much luck with that yet. I was able to get a 4 day job working in a flower shop for Valentines day weekend. It was so much fun. I got to proses flower and make arrangements for wrapped flowers. I had no idea how much work goes into flowers. It was a lot of work but I loved it. I even did a few deliveries on Friday that was a lot of fun to. When Sat came I was pooped and I had seen so many beautiful flowers I would have loved to have my own flowers to have for the weekend. When I came home from the flower shop I was greeted with a beautiful bouquet that Ryan picked out and arranged all by himself. Along with a beautiful pink purse that I wanted. So this Valentines was a blast. I am the luckiest girl in the world to have a husband like Ryan. I love you Ryan thanks for making me feel special all of the time. HOLD YOU

Today I write because I don't know what else to do. I guess I also don't want to forget how I feel. Monday I found out that I was not pregnant from a 3rd try of IN-VETRO, and it being my 6th loss. It is weird because I thought that Ryan and I had been through enough. I guess I was wrong. I know that we will get through this. But I know it will take time, asking WHY about 1000 more times, tears, pain, and a list of many more things. I am not sure what is to come for Ryan and I or when. The thing that I do know is. I love my family (Ryan and Aurora )we have each other. Along with our extended families. I personaly know how blessed I am to be a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and a friend. Parts of me feel like life is over. I know that it is not. I can win in the end. Gall life is weird and hard but I guess the weird or hard times is what allows us to be happy all of the other times in life. Looking for an answer is what I am waiting for right now. When I get it I don't know. But some day it will come. I can't thank everyone enough for all of the love and support that we have been given over the past few years. I love all of you Thanks

So last year when I had a hard time my sister hart attacked my house and there were a bunch of quotes on them. One of them really stood out and I have been inspired from it so I thought I should share it when all of you out there. This was written by Jeff Gregerson.

Sometimes life is tougher then a pile of bricks my only advice is this...... Turn to our Elder Brother because as a Master Craftsman he can grind the toughest bricks into the softest ,silkiest sand that lay on the warm beaches of our near horizon.

Christmas at the Greenhalgh's

We had a blast in ABQ New Mexico. My sister Stacy and her family live there. So Ryan and I decided to head south for the holiday. Yes Aurora had to say behind again. We missed her a ton but were glad that we went. My nieces are so cute we could not get enough of Megan and Zoe. We ate a ton of food. I thought that I was heavy before, well I was wrong. I so need to get off of the holiday sugar. We did ginger bread houses, went to the mall, painted ornaments, ate a ton of good food, installed can lights, played a ton of wii & had the best time!!! On Christmas eve it was way cute the girls were getting ready for bed & Ryan was in the bathroom with them. All of a sudden they heard bells outside the window. Ryan said "it must be Santa he must be next door you better hurry & get to bed". The girls freaked their eyes got so big & went to go run to bed their parents said " slow down we need to say prayers". Megan the oldest put her hands over her eyes & said "i'm already asleep, i'm already asleep!!". We then took the girls to bed they could hardly contain themselves. When we got them to bed Megan said to Ryan " Ok Ryan listen you need to go to bed right now dont worry about brushing your teeth just turn off the lights & go to bed right now!". It was the cutest thing ever. Anyways as you can tell we had a blast!! Love you tons Greenhalgh family!!

Thanksgiving 09' PHL

Well another year at the Gregerson house has come and gone. We had so much fun this year in PHL. The fun and the caos never seemed to stop. This year we did our own thanksgiving dinner. It was quite the task. I did the Turkey yes you heard me right. I got a recipe off of the food network and might I say it was AMAZING. It was funny because half of the bird was gone before we even sat down to the table.
So after all of the turkey day stuff Rayna Babe arrived from Cali & came to the party!! We had a blast. Lots of dance party's and lots of wii playing. I tell ya Ethan is way good at that thing and he is only 5. The games were also a big part of the schedule.
Hitting up the ice rink was another fun thing that we did this year for the first time. The kids just loved it. Even Brooklyn she didn't even have skates. Ethan was really starting to get the hang of it by the time we headed out. Heading to see down town PHL was also a highlinght of our trip. But it would not be a holiday with out a trip to the ER. Brooklynn ended up at the ER at 3am in the morning to find out that she had croup. We just had a blast. I am already counting down the day's till next year. Thanks Gregerson Fam for having us. We love and miss you tons

Wicked 09 with the Bennetts

I have fallen off of the blogging tree. So here I am getting back on. I have a lot to blog about so the first thing will be about my trip to San Francisco CA. I went to San Fran a few months ago to see Wicked with my sister in-law and her girls the Bennetts. I have you know that it was a blast. We few into Oakland and got right to our hotel and then had to take a shuttle down to the city. We then hopped onto a trolley to get to the show. O my gosh the show was a blast. If you have not seen Wicked yet I would highly recommend it. After that we went and got some great food by our hotel. The next day we went to church and drove out to a place called Bodaga Bay. Way beautiful. Took a lot of great pics and then headed home the next day. All in all it was such a fun trip. I love all of those girls so much. I feel lucky to have gone and spent that time with them. Love ya lots Bennetts. Can't wait for girls weekend 2010'

5 years a going strong

Another year has come and gone. This time it is 5 great years. I can't believe how fast it has gone by. I am so grateful for my husband and all that he does for me and Aurora. This year for celebration we went down to Vegas and ate dinner at Ruth Chris Stake house YUM. then we went to the Phantom of the Opera at the Venation. It was so much fun. Ryan had never seen it. He just loved it. I just still can't believe that I have been married for 5 years. I would not change it for any thing. I know that this sounds corny but he really is my best friend and I would not give that up for anything. Ryan I love you and I can't wait for more. Happy 5 years

Backyard Adventures Photo shoot 09'

I am not quite sure how to tell every thing that happend this last week. I have been in Amarillo TX for Backyard Adventures. I was called to help out on there catolog again this year. It was a blast. What I do for them on the shoot is make sure all of the kids are in the right place at the right time on the play set when the picture is taken so it looks like all of the activities are being used. I think over this past week I have worked with over 100 kids. That is a lot of names to try and remember. The week went really well. We got every pic taken that we wanted. So I am sure you are wondering what that big blue thing is. Instead of being a green sceran it is a blue screen. They go in after and put in the foliage. There is not a whole lot of landscape in Amamarilo TX. So that is why we use the blue screen. We would start the day about 7am and work till 6pm they were very long and hot days. But it was fun. I definitely got alot of sun. The first day I got really sunburned. After we were all done for the day we would all go out and get a bite to eat. The group of people I worked with were really fun and great people. We had a lought of fun. We even made some time to do some good old toilet papering. I can't remember when the last time I did that. This post is a tribute to any one who is a mom. This past week I was babysitting some of my friends at there home in Alpine with there 3 kids Sage (5) Brin (3) Teancome (1). I am not sure if I spelled there name right but o well. The kids were great. I think that I did not know really how much work and time out of you own life it takes to be a mom or full time care taker. Come day two I was feeling the stress come on. For me the hard part was how to fill all of the time with the kids. Making sure that they were safe, feed and entertained. I quickly discovered that there is no personal time. Trying to find time to even do my laundry was just crazy.
So now I have a new found respect for motherhood. I understand now why kids some times look like there hair was not brushed, because they wont let you, or they look like they have been wearing the same cloths for the past 3 day because they have, they wont let you dress them they have to dress them self. And when a kids is freaking out at the store and every one is giving you the LOOK that you should be doing some thing but there really is nothing that you can do. How important nap time is and if you are even 1 hr late what a difference it makes for the rest of you day I GET IT!!!!!!!!!! I have baby sat before but I have not baby sat 3 little kids under the age of 5 for a week so it was a new one for me. I am grateful for the experience. Also just a note to self don't loose the peoples dog while you are baby sitting not a good thing. Keep up all of the great work MOM's

I will have to say that the cooking class that I did a few weeks ago was a blast. So my Aunt came up from so cal and did a cooking class and told us about this new cookware that came out to the public. It was so much fun. I had some of my favorite people over. We had some of the best food ever. I would have never have thought of the things that we got to eat. The cool part is all of the recipes that we did were all 10 min recipes. I had a blast. It was so fun for me to be with my friends and family. I want to say a special thanks to every one that came and to my Aunt Lori that hooked us up with some good food. My Endless Heart Break

I thought that this post would be going very different. I know that some of you are aware of our infertility that we have. This last month Ryan and I chose to give INVETRO one more chance. It was a long proses and painful just like it was back in June. But this time we felt different. We did all of the shots and the pills and the appointments. This last Sunday we were getting the call to see if it worked or not. They had transferred 2 embeors. We were very hopeful. It was great I had my parents with us along with the Foster family and the Greehalgh's had surprised me and drove out from ABQ to be hear to support us with the out come. It was very nice to have them all there. Well time had finally come and Ryan got the phone call from our Dr. I could not be in the room when this all took place. We were all standing in the kitchen when Ryan walked in and shouted WE ARE PREGNANT!!! We all jumped and crayed and hugged and kissed. I never in my life thought that I would here or say those words.
The next day came and my parents went back home and my sisters and there family's played. But to my horror I started to bleed. I was so scared and I could not contain my tears. I bleed for the next few day and cramped. Come Friday evening when I would have been 5 weeks I got the call from the Dr that it was true. I had miscarried my two babies.
I don't even know what to do at this point. I feel like I am going crazy. I am trying to find the good in this but I am having a really hard time. My loss of 6 children is some thing that I never thought I would have to go through. I don't even know what els to type. I wish that I had more faith. Maybe that is why this is happening. He has given this trial to me and I am still trying to sort it all out. I am gratefully for all of the prayers and thought of every one. Know that I love my Husband more than anything and with him by my side I want to make it. I love you all and I am grateful for every one of you out there.....Please pardon all of my spelling mistakes and pour gramer.

Mom & Dad- I don't even know where to start. I just want the two of you to know that I am so lucky to have such great parents. Thanksgiving PHL 2008

I can't belive that another year has come and gone. We have made it a yearly tradition to go out to PHL and see Jeff, Janell and their kids for turkey day. It has been a blast. We have a few activities that we repeat each year such as: going to the Shady Maple, endless trips to the outlet mall, consume large amounts of special drink (sparkling cider) with the kids, staying up late playing games and much much more. The Shady Maple is an Amish smorgasbord (buffet) and the food is to die for!! Our favorite part was playing with the kids. This was the first time that Ryan and I got to see baby Brooklyn (the newest addition to the Gregerson family). She is so cute. We always love it here in PHL. We did do something new this year, we went to midnight madness at the local outlet mall. O my gosh it was complete madness and I will probably never do that again. We also helped Janell set up Christmas the day after Thanksgiving dinner. The thing that is the hardest for me about this week is that it has been 1 year sence my first ectopic pregnancy. Knowing that I lost 4 babies in 1 year is just crazy and hard for me. I am still trying to work through everything that has happened this last year in that department. It is weird to think that Janell's little girl Brooklyn and my first baby would have been the same age. I do know that I feel so extremely lucky to have such cute nieces and nephews. I love all of my sisters kids so much and I don't know what I would do if I did not have them in my life. Well here are a lot of pics of our trip in Philly. 4 years! Can you believe it??

I can't belive it. 4 amazing years have come and gone. It still feels like yesterday that we got married. I remember it so well. I give Ryan a hard time and tell him that we should get married again because it was so much fun. That is thanks to all of our friends and family. It is amazing how much we have done and have gone through in the past 4 years. We bought a house our first year, bought a car and a truck, got the cutest kitty ever, been on lots of fun vacations(Hawaii, California, Phliadelphia, Brazil,and many other little trips her and there. All I know is that my life is so much better with Ryan than it was without. I say.. bring on the next 50-60 years. I love Ryan Palmer so much. It is wierd you think that you can love some one more that you already do. I remember thinking that on our wedding day. I love him so so so much more today then I did then that is just crazy.
So by request from older post you wanted to know how we met. Here it goes. When I lived in Sugar House in Salt Lake City 2003 I lived with 4 other girls in a house. One of my roommates (AUDRY) she had all of us go to the drive in on Redwood RD SLC. I had just thrown my back out for the first time ever and she insisted that I still go and take one of her loritabs. I had never had one before but it knocked me out. I was laying on the ground of the drive in with blankets all over me and the next thing I know is some guy in taking off my blanket and talking to me. Guess who RYAN. So later that night I had to go to the ladies room. He and some other friends helped me walk to the restroom. Supposedly I had given him a tap on the bum on our way there. The rest I don't remeber. The next day I got a phone call from him asking me out. And of course I complied. The rest is history. Thanks to (Audry) I found the love of my LIFE. I love you Ryan! Thanks for loving me and treating me like a princess every day. Happy Anniversary!

So lately it is not that I don't have good days but there are some days that are better and easier that others. This last weekend was one of those good ones. Saturday night Ryan and I went to a BBQ with some of our old friends. That was great. We were able to catch up and hang out. Sunday we went to another one of our friends ward for their baby blessing. That was so neat. Their baby was so beautiful. Afterwards, everyone hung out and ate good food and had good conversation. There were a lot of our friends there as well. It is just really good to see people you care about. Then we headed home to hang out with Richard,Lisa and the kids. We had a blast. The WII was of some fun entertainment. Dinner was great and then we went for a drive up the Provo canyon to see the fall trees. Every one piled into Ryan's truck with Lisa and myself in the back of the truck with some blankets. It was so beautiful I can't believe it. Then we returned home to play some games. I know it does not sound like much but it was a good day. Thanks Foster family lets to it again. Lolly you are the best. Love you lots! Thanks for sitting in the back with me!

Las Vegas Vacaton With Mom and Dad and the Greenhalghs 2008

Where do I begin. this was a much needed vacation with my family. Even though every one could not be there is was a blast to be with my parents and the Greenhalghs. We never get to see that Greenhalghs much. I could not get over how cute these two girls are. I just wanted to be with them every single min. Stacy and Jason are both so skinny. When did I miss the skinny boat. I am so proud of the both of them. Stacy has told me that she has lost almost 65 lbs. Can you belive that. There were many days at the pool. And lots of walking when we went to the strip. Then Ryan had to get a little bit of gambling in keeping in mind a $20 max. So late one night Stacy Ryan and myself went to go win some money. It only took us 5 min to loose it all. It was funny Ryan came up to me when he was done and said that was stupid. But it will be somthing that we will be able to always laugh about. It was great to spend some time with Stacy. We had a girls day and got out nails done and hung out. I miss her so much. Mom and dad were great too. Can't wait for the next trip.

Besides what my wonderful husband and my sister did for me on my Birthday it was not my Favorite Birthday. Fist off the day of my birthday I had to work all day at this photo shoot for our catalog for 2009. I had to be up and out the door at 7:30. Ryan who does not wake up early very often got up at 5:00 AM to make me breakfast in bed. I had eggs,pancakes,jelly,Pb,OJ,sparkling drink(non achole),also a dossen kiwi roses on my tray. Then he gave me a gift card to Nordstroms. WAHOOOOOO. So the Morning started off great. I then get in my car to go to work and I start the car. To my surprise my car was shaking in a good way. Ryan had put a sweet sound system in my car for my Birthday. I was so excited. So at this point I am on my way to work. Not even 4 miles from my house I got in a bad car accident. I ended up running into the back of a Nissan Titian. It totaled my car. I was really upset I have never been in a car accident. So to make a long story short it started to get bad from that point. But I do want my Husband to know that I am so greatful for all that you did to make me feel special on my birthday. I love you

Well Y'all this here is the other love bottom. Shanda made me sit down tonight and read the posts she has made and the comments that you all have posted. I am greatful she did. First of all I want to say how very greatful I am for my beautiful wife and how greatful I am to my Father in Heaven for spairing her life. It's hard to realize all that her poor body has been through some times, because she just is so good about taking it all in stride. I love her so much. Second of all I want to thank you all for your comments, support and prayers we can definitly feel them. We pray for all of you and we are so greatful to have you all in our lives. I want to send a special thanks to Shanda's sisters and parents, I know that you all are a huge support to her and I know that she relies on you all, and I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do for her, and us!! I got to see the Gregersons Blog tonight and all I can say is you guys rock!! Your kids are so freeking cute!!!! One request though, can you make them stop growing till we can come see them? I cant wait to get some more time to see all of your blogs. Thanks again for everything. I love you all and can't wait to see you.

Part 3

So now here we are months later. We knew that we wanted to have kids and our Dr said after the last ectopic the only way we can get pregnant is by In-Vitro. I had heard of it but never heard about all of the details. So back in March we started to look for In-vitro Dr's. I tell ya that was a struggle. Dr's are about 3 months booked out just for a consult. We ended up finding a great Dr in American Fork who studied at UCLA,and USC. It is really neat about the Dr that we are going with. Because it is a team of 2. One is a MD and the other is a PHD so I have 2 Dr's working for me that are specialists in their field.
Ok so right now I am on birth control and prenatals weird huh. I have all of these apt for ultra sounds and medications that I have to start taking next week. I had to order over 6 different medications that I have to be on. I got a phone call from the pharmacy and was told how much my meds were. Over $2000.00 I about hit the floor. The pharmacist then asked if I had Insurance I only had to pay $260.00 the pharmacist was shocked because most insurances don't cover those meds. That was a blessing.
I tell ya this whole thing is a lot harder that I thought it would be. I don't feel like my self lately. I am so so tired and I have gained back all of the weight that I lost over the winter. When I start my other meds I have to inject almost all of them. I am not looking forward to that at all.
My poor husband I think that my hormones are out of wack. I think I am on his case way to much. Not to mention just the cost of this hole thing is crazy. I am stressed out about having to pay for this. And there is now guarantee that it is going to work. I will up date everyone next week about the next step. I know that there are those praying for Ryan and myself I just want to say thanks. I love and miss all of you

So low and behold in February I had ended up with another ectopic. I did know what to look for so we did catch it early. But we had a really hard time with that one as well. I had to go get a shot that is ment to terminate the pregnancy to save the tube,not to mention my life. I ended up taking that shot 3 times which is also very dangerous. After the 3rd shot we thought that we were in the clear. Not even a day later we were back in the emergency room for another emergency surgery. So to make that long story short I had lost my right tube as well. So at this point we can't have kids. This was really hard for me. It is still really hard for me to look back at all that has happened. I know that I am very blessed but sometimes you just think to yourself why me. I guess that this is one of my tests it life. I hope a got at least a b+.

Well I am not sure where to start. I have been debating about bloging about this but my sister Stacy thinks that it would be a good idea. I am not sure how many of you know how hard of a year it has been for Ryan and I medically.
We would have never have thought that this crazy situation would have been us.
Back in November Ryan and I went to PHI to go see my sister Janell and her family for thanksgiving it has become a tradition for us. Late one night while at their house I woke up with some really bad stomach pain. I thought that it would have been just good old Jewett gas.
The next thing I knew I was on the floor calling for Ryan to come to my side on the floor. He then got out of bed and did not know what to do. So then he got Jeff and Janell out of bed. I tell ya it was nice to have a MD in the house. Jeff went straight to the Internet to see what he could find. The pain just got worse and worse. The next thing I know it is about 1am my husband and my brother in law were giving me a blessing. After that we then decided to get me to the hospital.
I tell you I have never been in so much pain. I was thinking that it maybe could have been my appendix. We get to the ER and the staff at the Pottstown hospital were great. I had a nurse and Dr all over me they did'nt know what was going on. Then not much later a nurse comes into my room and says "you are pregnant". I was shocked. I asked for Ryan and my sister. We were overjoyed. But are joy was a little bit to soon. We next found out that I had what is called an ectopic pregnancy. We did'nt know what that meant. Come to find out it is when the baby starts to grow in your Fallopian tube.
About 3 hrs later I found myself on a operating table. The pain was still so so so so strong I thought that I would die. I guess they had to perform emergency surgery. My fallopian tube had burst and I was bleeding to death internally. So then they had to give me a blood transfusion, before they could operate. About a day later I was in recovery in labor and delivery. My husband and sister had to continually tell me over and over what had happened. Ryan and I ended up staying an extra week in Phil so I could recover from surgery and then I fly home. I ended up recovering just fine. I did loose my left tube but Dr were hopefull that we could still conceive.

Well some of us Palmer went up to wolf creek up by logan. We stayed the night it a condo that Ryans parents are part of. We had a blast. We played some games ate good food and even gave racket ball a try. Go Bob, Wendy,& Ryan WIN WIN WIN

Last week for a date night I insisted that we go out to the driving range. It was such a beautiful day and I need to get outside. I am sorry about my gigle in the video I just can't help it when I watch Ryan golf. I think he looks like Happy Gilmore when he golfs because he has to try and hit it so hard. It has been some time sence I have bloged. Well I guess that I am just taking this time to do some jorunaling. With Mothers day just passing I want my mom and my sisters to know how much that I love them. I know that my family had to put up with a lot haveing me as a kid and a sisters. I know that I would not be where I am today if is was not for my family. It has been so hard for me latley. I have just been in such a funk and I am not sure way. I do know that one thing life is just to busy, and sometimes I don't have time to injoy it. I don't even have kids crazy ha. I am so missing my sister so much and there kids. I am lucky to have the Fosters close but I know that I don't see them as much as I would want to. I remember that I would spend every weekend of my Jr and Sr year of high school at Lisa and Richard house in Ocean side. I loved it. Knowing that I would get to play with Tyler and Kelsey when they were just little was the best. I would ofton clean out one of Lisa's closets for her, during the time that I would spend at her house on a weekend I miss that. She does not need me to clean out her closets any more :(
I guess that there is one thing that is the best thing ever. That would be my husband Ryan. He is know the one that has to put up with me. I am so greatfull for all that he does for me and Aurora. He is my best friend and I thank Heavely Father every day for him. Well I hope that every one has a great weekend. I love you all and be happy, for today we are alive!! That is a blessing.

So we just got back from Vegas. Ryan, Aurora and myself went to the Vegas to hang out with mom and dad we had a blast. We just love going to there place. We played a lot of 5 Crowns and Ticket to Ride. Love those games curtisy of the Game Store"the Foster Store" can't wate to go back.
